Conspire with us
Conspire literally means to breathe together. Whether you know it or not, you’re already part of the conspiracy: every breath you take depends on an invisible conspiracy of life (opens in a new tab), billions of years in the making, that keeps the Earth alive. So next time you breathe in, thank the plankton, the trees, and the seasons.

Why we’re doing this
This project started during the initial COVID outbreak in 2020, shortly after the closing of The End of You (opens in a new tab). We’d been exploring the dynamics of living systems with the participating artists, and the microbial world had been on our minds (opens in a new tab). And, like the rest of humanity, our interest turned to the air we breathe.
We started looking for simple, cheap ways to support our personal and community health. We began using a neti pot (a.k.a. nasal irrigation) and started exploring many other practices. Before long we’d collected hundreds of papers, so we made this site to share the research we have gathered.
Early on, a friend told us about hypochlorous acid (HOCl), a disinfectant made in the immune systems of all mammals (including humans). We took it to a local encampment (opens in a new tab), later finding we could make it at home (opens in a new tab). The research revealed that it kills COVID, is used extensively for wound care, and seemed to be an all-around wonder molecule that sounded a bit too good to be true.
We’ve also curated relevant papers and encourage you to do your own research.
Not medical advice
Doctors informally review what we publish, but none of it is personal medical advice. Conspire.to shares research for general education: it can’t diagnose or treat you, and it doesn’t replace care from a health professional who knows you.
These practices help prevent illness; they don’t cure it. If you’re ill, pregnant, have a weakened immune system or take regular medicine, ask a health professional before you start one.
In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
Terms of use
We check what we publish, but it can contain errors and go out of date. It is offered as is, without warranty of any kind, and Spherical Lab is not liable for any loss or harm from its use.
